Today’s community highlight features Lake Onalaska, one of our northern communities located within the scenic town of Onalaska, WI. The town has been labeled “the prettiest drive in America” which comes full circle once you take the drive up to visit. Miles and miles of bluffs and trails can be viewed, as well as stunning water views, stemming from the city’s close proximity to the Mississippi River. - The original name of the city was “Oonaslaska”, the name of an Aleutian island and fishing village.
